Hi there 👋

software craftsman My name is Shubham Garg. I'm a programmer and an indiehacker based in India. I am currently working full time with Makemytrip, one of the leading OTAs in India. Outside of work, I spend my time travelling, cycling or creating bootstrap businesses.

I studied Economics and Mechanical Engineering in college. While economics trained me in thinking more effectively, engineering made me love the joy of craftsmanship. Had I not become a software developer, an economics professor would be the next best thing.

I firmly beleive in using mental models for understanding complex topics. There is this saying that 'data is not information', and it is more critical to understand this in information age than ever. I try to analyze the facts and data points that I get exposed to and try to make sense out of them for gaining pragmatic insights using various mental models.
